Storytelling FAQs
How much space do you need?
A private space with enough room for everyone to move a little and for our actors to have a small performance area is perfect. We kindly ask that we are given exclusive use for our full visit (including set up and set down times). For sessions with large groups, gym hall spaces are preferred and for smaller groups, private classrooms or library spaces are ideal.
Do teachers need to be present?
Whilst our actors hold full disclosures, to ensure the safety of all we ask that there is at least 1 teacher present per 35 children.
How long are your sessions?
Our storytelling sessions run from 30 - 40 minutes, and we leave 15 minutes in between each to allow for resetting. When booking, we will ask you to provide us with your school timetable and we will schedule your session times for you.
Do you allow film and photography?
It can take us up to 90 minutes to set up and get into costume, depending on the layout of your school. Being guided to car parking, having access to visitor FOBs and having changing facilities close to our session location (staff toilets are fine but a small room is even better) can all help ensure we are set up on time for your first workshop. In some cases, we may opt for a lighter set up to ensure that your sessions start on time.
How long do you need to set up?
Absolutely! We actively encourage schools to take as many photographs and videos as they wish. Don't forget to tag us on social media!
What age range are your sessions most suitable for?
