Story immersion stimulates imagination and engages children in learning that can be expanded across the Curriculum for Excellence, encouraging the discovery and discussion of the various places, people and themes found in our chosen stories. Bringing literacy characters to life encourages a stronger connection to reading and writing, and interacting with live characters helps children with communication, inspires their creativity and produces a shared experience that all children can enjoy.

Whilst helping build a child’s emotional intelligence and confidence, Drama also aids language and communication skills, helps concentration, develops problem solving skills, assists with physical development and nurtures creativity. Drama games and exercises can help children find their own voices whilst simultaneously learning how to empathise with others.

Music is similarly cross-curricular - stimulating brain development, supporting numeracy skills and encouraging team work. Music has also been a proven method of stress relief for children - assisting in the creation of positive, enjoyable environments for children to learn in.
